Artist Biography

Mingus is a well respected figure in South African Hip Hop. He is the founding member of the Writers Block crew (a group of MC’s, DJ’s and Producers), Metaphysical Misfits and Cape Town’s soulful Hip Hop band, Mingus & The Goodfellas.
Also, Mingus has shared the stage with some of Hip Hop’s finest like Blu & Exile, Bahamadia, Master Ace, J-Live, Kev Brown, Blumentopf (German Hip Hop crew), Wordsworth, Qwazaar, Vast Aire (Cannibal Ox), Akil The MC (Jurassic 5), Trey from the Pharcyde, People Under The Stairs, DJ Babu, John Robinson, Asheru and the Boot Camp Click and has performed in many music festivals from Cape Town to Sweden.
